Custom Wine Tours for any Occasion

A true native of Northern California, Jake started his career in the wine industry in Eureka, CA, working as a server in Mark Carter`s Restaurant 301/ Carter House Inn. The restaurant`s wine list boasted over 3400 wine selections and over 27,000 bottles in inventory. While working there Jake learned, through trial and error, the skill set required for designing wine pairings for a menu that changed daily.

After his time at Restaurant 301 Jake moved to Sonoma County to finish his undergraduate degree at California State University, Sonoma. As a student he retained his passion for wine while serving tables in some of Sonoma County's best restaurants - the French Garden of Sebastopol and Charlie Palmer's Dry Creek Kitchen of Healdsburg.

Having lived in Sonoma County from 2009-2013, Jake knew it was time for change. In September of 2013, Jake took up residency in the city of Napa, CA. It was in Napa that Jake started working for his first winery - Sullivan Family Vineyards. As one of only 14 total employees, Jake was able to learn more intimately about the wine-making process - from growing grapes and harvesting them, to bottling and aging wine.

Wanting to see more of what both regions have to offer outside of the tasting rooms, Jake began doing wine tours through Napa and Sonoma.
